Abstract

The current stage of development of the agricultural sector is characterized by the increasing influence of globalization processes, instability of market conditions, fluctuations in prices for agricultural products, and growing requirements for production quality and performance. Under such conditions, the issue of developing agricultural production management becomes particularly relevant, as the level of organization of operational processes largely determines the economic stability of agricultural enterprises, their ability to adapt to changes in the external environment, and their competitiveness in both domestic and international markets. The development of agricultural production management involves the systematic improvement of operational management, taking into account the sectoral specifics of agriculture, including the seasonality of production processes, the dependence of performance results on natural and climatic conditions, the duration of production cycles, and the increased level of risk. In this regard, traditional approaches to production management require adaptation and supplementation with modern methods of planning, control, and coordination of operational activities. This scientific study is aimed at analyzing the role and identifying the directions for the development of agricultural production management within the operational management system of an enterprise. The research focuses on organizational and economic aspects of managing production processes, as well as on opportunities to increase the performance of operational activities through the improvement of managerial mechanisms and the implementation of modern management tools. Effective organization of operational management covers all key areas of agricultural enterprise functioning, ranging from the planning of production processes and the utilization of resource potential to human resource management and the integration of digital technologies into the management system. Such an approach ensures the consistency of managerial decisions, enables the timely identification of problem areas within the operational system, and facilitates the development of measures aimed at increasing productivity and improving product quality. The improvement of agricultural production management systems creates prerequisites for enhancing the adaptability of enterprises to changing market conditions, optimizing costs, and stabilizing business performance results. Practical experience of agricultural enterprises indicates that focusing production management on strategic development goals contributes to more substantiated managerial decisions and the formation of sustainable competitive advantages. The relevance of this study is determined by the fact that operational activity is a fundamental element of the management system of an agricultural enterprise and defines its ability to ensure sustainable development under conditions of economic instability and increasing risks. The results of the research may be used as a basis for developing practical recommendations aimed at improving the management of operational processes and enhancing the overall performance of agricultural production.
