AI Policy

General Provisions

The editorial policy of the collection regarding the use of large language models (LLMs), generative artificial intelligence, and AI-supported technologies is based on the current recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Compliance with this Policy is a mandatory condition for publication and an integral part of academic integrity.

Authorship and Responsibility

Artificial intelligence tools do not meet the criteria for authorship, as they cannot bear legal and ethical responsibility for the content of the research. Therefore, AI cannot be listed as an author or co-author of a scientific publication. Full responsibility for the reliability of the data, the absence of plagiarism, and the correctness of the conclusions, even those generated or processed using AI, lies exclusively with the human authors.

Permissible Use

The use of AI tools is permitted for:

  • Improving the linguistic presentation of the article (translation, stylistic, or grammatical editing of the text).

  • Automating routine processes (writing programming code, structuring data arrays, formatting tables, etc.).

Disclosure Requirement

If authors have used AI for any of the aforementioned purposes, they are obliged to clearly declare this in a separate section at the end of the article (for example, "AI Usage Declaration"). It is necessary to specify the name of the tool, its version, and the specific purpose of its application.

Unacceptable Use

The editorial board considers the following actions unacceptable and equates them to a violation of academic integrity (data fabrication or plagiarism):

  • Generation of primary scientific ideas, hypotheses, or key research conclusions using AI.

  • Use of AI to create or manipulate research data (graphs, statistics, experimental results).

  • Generation of fictitious bibliographic references (AI "hallucinations").

Procedure for Responding to Violations

Procedures for identifying instances of dishonest or concealed use of AI, consideration of such cases by the editorial board, and submission of appeals are carried out in accordance with the general Complaints Procedure and Retraction Policy for Published Articles.
