The scientific journal “Academic Journal. Industrial Machine Building, Civil Engineering” is a leading professional publication aimed at promoting the results of fundamental and applied research in the fields of mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and related technical disciplines.
The journal is committed to fostering an open scientific environment based on the belief that knowledge has universal value and should be accessible to a wide range of specialists and practitioners. It provides a platform for international academic dialogue on current technical and engineering issues, facilitating the integration of Ukrainian and European researchers into the global scientific community.
“Academic Journal. Industrial Machine Building, Civil Engineering” publishes peer-reviewed research articles that present new approaches, methods, and technologies in architecture, mechanical engineering design, structural engineering, industrial machine building, and other key areas of modern technical science. The journal highlights research outcomes that form the scientific basis for further development of these fields and addresses перспективні solutions to applied problems.
Year of establishment: 1999
Subject areas (range of problems): the journal covers scientific and scientific-technical research in industrial machine building, automotive transport, and mechanization of construction processes, as well as architecture and urban planning, including design, formation of the architectural environment, and spatial development of territories. Considerable attention is paid to the design, construction, operation, and reconstruction of buildings and structures, including their bases and foundations, as well as research in building physics, energy efficiency, and sustainable development.

The aim and scope of the journal are to publish the results of scientific research in the fields of mechanical engineering, architecture, and construction, to promote the development of scientific thought and the implementation of innovations, and to ensure open exchange of knowledge (see the section “Aim and Objectives” for details).
The journal’s quality control system is based on a combination of initial editorial screening, verification of compliance with academic integrity, and double-blind peer review, in which reviewers do not have access to authors’ personal data, and authors do not have access to reviewers’ identities. Only manuscripts that meet submission requirements, pass initial expert evaluation, and undergo plagiarism screening using the StrikePlagiarism.com system are accepted for review. The journal ensures a comprehensive approach to publication quality, including adherence to ethical standards, international guidelines, and transparent peer review procedures (see sections “Plagiarism Prevention,” “Publication Ethics and Editorial Policy” “Compliance with International Standards,” and “Peer Review Process“).
Article Processing Charge: The journal follows a no-fee policy—submission, peer review, editing, and open-access publication are free of charge for authors (see “Article Processing Charge”).
Open access and licensing policy: The journal adheres to an open access policy, providing free and unrestricted access to full-text publications immediately after publication. The journal also operates under the Creative Commons License CC BY-NC-SA, which regulates the use of materials with mandatory attribution, non-commercial use, and distribution under the same terms. In addition, the journal deposits all articles assigned a DOI in the CrossRef system to ensure proper cross-referencing; articles can be accessed via DOI using the link http://doi.org/10.26906 (see also “Open Access Policy” and “Copyright and Licensing”).
Archiving and Availability: The journal ensures long-term preservation and accessibility of published materials through systematic archiving, including deposition in an institutional repository, which guarantees reliable storage and continuous open access to scholarly content. This approach is aimed at preventing the loss of publications and maintaining their long-term availability for the scientific community (see the “Archiving Policy” section for details).
