Background. Software defects undetected during functional testing may manifest under load, making risk assessment based on operational metrics relevant. Subject of the study: methods and tools for assessing the risk of defects in .NET microservices within distributed computer systems, taking operational metrics into account. Objective: to develop a method for assessing the risk of defect manifestation in .NET microservices within distributed computer systems based on a comprehensive analysis of operational metrics. Research tasks. To achieve the purpose, a set of operational metrics was defined, and a model for forming an integral risk indicator based on their normalized values was developed. Methods. Methods of system analysis, normalization and integral assessment, load testing, and statistical processing were used. Results. A method for the integral assessment of the risk of defect manifestation in .NET microservices based on normalized operational metrics was proposed. Conclusions. The proposed method makes it possible to assess the risk of defect manifestation in software components of distributed computer systems without modifying their program code, based on operational data obtained during load testing.
