The impact of digital technologies on the efficiency of social entrepreneurship

The article examines the impact of digital technologies on the efficiency of social entrepreneurship in the context of the modern digital transformation of the economy. The study analyzes key areas of digitalization, including the use of websites, social media, online sales, and digital marketing by social enterprises in Ukraine during 2020–2025. The results demonstrate a steady upward trend in the adoption of digital tools across all analyzed categories, indicating the active integration of digital solutions into the activities of social enterprises. The research identifies that social media and websites serve as basic communication tools, while online sales and digital marketing show the highest growth rates, reflecting a shift toward digital business models. A forecast for 2026-2030 based on linear trend extrapolation confirms the continuation of positive dynamics in the implementation of digital technologies. It is expected that the role of e-commerce and digital marketing will further increase, contributing to improved competitiveness and scalability of social enterprises. The study substantiates that digital technologies enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, optimize business processes, and expand access to markets and financial resources. At the same time, the research highlights significant barriers to digital transformation, including limited financial resources, insufficient digital skills, lack of qualified personnel, uneven access to digital infrastructure, and the absence of tailored technological solutions for social enterprises. In addition, insufficient state support for digitalization processes constrains the development of the sector. The article concludes that the formation of a comprehensive support system for digital transformation, including the development of digital competencies, improved access to funding, and the implementation of targeted public policies, is essential for strengthening the efficiency and sustainability of social entrepreneurship in Ukraine.
